The Austin FC Rally Bus is the Best Way to Get to Q2 Stadium
Austin FC plays its first-ever home match this Saturday June 19th at Q2 Stadium and we’ve got all the details you need to have an extraordinary experience from start to finish with our Match Day Guide.
Let’s start with how get to and from the match. Whether you plan to drive and park or utilize public or shared transportation, you need to plan ahead. Austin FC president Andy Loughnane recently shared that Q2 Stadium parking is a issue. There are only 850 parking spots for the 20,000+ seat stadium, and they’re already sold out so let’s explore your other options.
Pavemint manages up to 5,000 parking spaces around Q2 Stadium and the only option still available at the time of print is to reserve a spot at the Domain for $22 and take a shuttle to and from your parking space or $40 at an off site lot you can walk from. Other recommended options include CapMetro services (Bus Route 803 or MetroRail red line) or using a rideshare. Neither of these have limits on capacity so you are likely to experience long waits and surcharges when using these services after the match.
The best and easiest way to get to and from Q2 Stadium is the Austin Rally Bus. With three pick-up and drop-off locations in and around Downtown Austin to choose from, you are able to start and finish your match day experience in style before you get to Q2 Stadium. The Austin FC Rally buses are air-conditioned and BYOB, they have direct access to the stadium for drop-off and pick-up and they are filled with other fans ready to cheer on Austin FC.
The pick-up locations for this Saturday’s match are:
Downtown Location: 602 East 4th Street at Central District Brewing
East Austin Location: 1902 E. 6th Street at Lazarus Brewery
South Austin Location: 2027 South Lamar at Bouldin Acres
Be sure to your tickets at www.austinfcbus.com before they sell out! Round trip bus tickets are $39. If you only need a ride there or home, secure a one way bus ticket for $29. A limited number of Season bus tickets can also be purchased.
IMPORTANT: Austin FC rally bus tickets are for Austin FC Rally Bus transportation to and from the match only. You will need to have tickets to the match to enter Q2 Stadium. Also, parking is not provided at any of the pick-up and drop-off locations. We encourage you to walk or use ride share.
First and foremost, download the Austin FC and Q2 Stadium App today! It is the most comprehensive stadium app that I’ve used. Take some time to play around in it before match day, connect your Seat Geek account and make sure your wallet is set-up so you can use it to pay for concessions!
Here are some important highlights of the Q2 Stadium Policies found in the App:
Many stadiums allow people to bring small, clear bags past the gate, but not Q2 Stadium. No bags, backpacks or other carriers of any kind can be brought in the stadium.
Q2 Stadium is also going to be a cashless stadium. All ticketing will be done through mobile phones, and payments will be taken through credit cards or digital wallets.
Gates open 90 minutes prior to the match, Austin FC Rally Buses will arrive approximately 60 minutes before the start of the match.
